Welcome!
I am a recently graduated postdoctoral researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow, and Landscape Research (WSL) in Zurich, Switzerland.
My research focuses on urban ecosystems through the integration of molecular ecology, network ecology, and macroecology. I combine environmental DNA with metaweb approaches to examine how urbanization shapes biodiversity patterns, food webs, and linkages between aquatic and terrestrial habitats. More recently, my work has expanded to investigate the role of small habitat patches in supporting landscape-scale urban biodiversity, as well as the combined effects of urbanization, maintenance decisions, and sociocultural context on mutualistic and antagonistic ecological networks across cities. Recognizing the need for cities to balance ecological goals with societal demands, I strive to adopt an interdisciplinary perspective that incorporates engineering and social science perspectives to explore how infrastructure design and maintenance can promote biodiversity conservation and strengthen food web stability.
